Importing pets into Singapore is a really simple task contrary to popular opinion. With more and more corporations moving into Singapore, there is a mass exodus of sorts into this Asian country and why not? It is a really fantastic place to live in. The problem most have though is figuring out what they can do with their pets when they move. Why not bring him/her along with you to Singapore?

Singapore has some very strict quarantine conditions for all animals that are being imported into the country. Nonetheless, importing your pet into the country is a walk in the park. There is no reason why you should have to leave your beloved family dog with your neighbors or at the dog pound because you are moving to Singapore.

The first thing that you need to do when you are moving to Singapore with dogs is to get the anti-rabies shots. They are at least two of them and they are taken months apart from each other. Therefore, consult with your vet to find out how it goes. There is the card that will be necessary to prove this immunization.

Second, you will have to book a stay for your pet at the quarantine station. As abovementioned Singapore has strict quarantine rules. All pets that are being imported into the country have to be quarantined for at least 30 days. It can be longer if the practitioners at the quarantine station deem it necessary. Book for your pet a spot at the quarantine station at least two months in advance. This way you are assured that when the pet arrives at the border ports they will not be turned away. These are basically the steps that you need to take when moving to Singapore with dogs. It is just that simple.
